The workshop will convene healthcare workers (clinicians, nurses, laboratory technicians), representatives of sickle cell disease (SCD) patient support groups and SCD researchers in Africa. These stakeholders are part of an ongoing SickleInAfrica implementation science project on newborn screening for sickle cell disease in 8 African countries.
